Acceptable Use Policy

Collecting payments

You must not use Kalplex to:

• collect from anyone who has not authorised a mandate, or collect amounts or on dates you did not notify;
• mislead customers about who you are, what they are paying for or how much and how often they will pay;
• collect for illegal goods or services, or for any business or product that GoCardless, the SEPA scheme rules or your bank prohibit;
• collect disputed amounts without a lawful basis, or use Direct Debit to pressure people unfairly;
• generate unusually high levels of refunds, failed payments or chargebacks through poor practices; or
• break sanctions, anti-money-laundering or consumer protection laws.

Using the platform

You must not:

• try to access another business's data or bypass our security or access controls;
• probe, scan or load-test Kalplex without our written permission;
• upload malicious code, or use automated means to scrape or overload the service;
• send unsolicited or deceptive emails containing mandate setup links;
• resell or share access to Kalplex outside your business; or
• use Kalplex in a way that infringes anyone's rights or the law.

What happens if this policy is broken

We may investigate, remove content, suspend or close accounts, and report matters to GoCardless or the authorities where appropriate. To report misuse, contact support@kalplex.com.
