The CCD2 exclusion for merchant-run deferred payment depends on a few hard conditions. Kalplex turns them into settings that can't be switched off.

| Condition in CCD2 | What Kalplex does |
|---|---|
| You give the time to pay, with no third party offering credit | Kalplex is software only. It never offers credit, buys receivables or pre-funds you. |
| Free of interest and without any other charges | There is no setting for interest or pay-later fees. Checkout shows the order total only. |
| Only limited late-payment charges, as national law allows | Reminders carry no fees by default; any late charge must be set by you within national rules. |
| Paid within 50 days of delivery (SMEs) | Debit dates are capped at 50 days; the default is day 30. |
| Paid within 14 days, for large online merchants | Choose “large merchant” in settings and the cap drops to 14 days — and a third party may neither offer nor buy the credit. |
